The August 28th edition of USA Today had a test drive of the 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the results listed as "unexpectedly marvelous". The article went on to say:
the primary market for the 99GC are "46 year-old married men (55%) and women (45%) from $76K/year households"
"the interior is still plagued with orange-tone fake wood"
"the '99 is a little wider, longer, and taller, but the main benefits are up front. Back-benchers get a welcome three inches more hip room, but lose knee room"
"the '99 turns clear around in a circle 1 foot smaller than the '98"
The fourth Jeep Grand Cherokee plant we mentioned in a recent report is apparantly going to be built overseas...
