Chrysler LLC announced their December, 2008 sales figures a couple of hours ago and no big surprise - Jeep sales are still in the toilet.
As always, Chrysler found some good news despite the fact that overall sales were down a whopping 53% compared with December, 2007!
-- All Jeep brand vehicles achieved sales growth over November 2008 sales. Jeep Wrangler, the brand's top-selling model, marked sales growth of 15 percent (7,048 units) over November.
-- Sales of the Jeep Patriot were up six percent in December (2,597 units) compared to November 2008. Year-to-date, Patriot sales grew 38 percent to reach 55,654 units.
As always, full sales figures after the jump - may be NSFW depending on if you work for Chrysler or not...

![]() Its no big suprise and I dont think the autos have seen the bottom. What was driving auto sales before was all those folks doing cash out refi's. That market is gone....and folks dont have all this cash floating around and are now stuck paying back on those refi's for houses that are worth less than they owe....this wont change overnight and I still think their is a chance we see One of the big three go BK by EOY 2009 no matter if they are being proped up with loans or not...nobody is buying....
