WranglerAEV Readies New Wrangler Add-ons
Posted by mike on 2006/12/11 19:11:38 (2542) reads

The well-known after-market Wrangler specialist American Expedition Vehicles (AEV) looks to be on the verge of debuting a new web site and a new series of accessories for 2007 Wranglers.

The new accessories include a new front bumper and winch, a steel hood with designed for maximum airflow (pictured), skidplates, wheels, and rear corner protectors.

According to the web site, their new web site isn't quite done yet - it's "coming soon". If the stuff that's up there now is indicative of the new design, we're in for a treat.

Can I just say that I will be buying that high line fender kit!!! I'm running a 3"BDS and if I could plop 37's under my LJ rather than 33, it would make me much happier!!!!

THANK YOU AEV!

Still want a new Gladiator or Scambler? Check out the AEV's BRUTE KIT for $8995! Hook me up for that! Except I don't have a welder...

Mark:

You don't need a welder. AEV sells new Wranglers at invoice and does the conversion for you.....all financed by Chrysler Financial with no consequences to the warranty.

I can't wait to see the entire exterior of the conversions. A performance boost would be nice.

Man, I wish I had the money to afford their stuff. I love that hood on the TJ.

Not tyring to be snotty these are honest questions.

1.Are 07 Wranglers overheating? Is there really a need for a $750 hood to address this issue?

2. Big Vents on the side and top let air as well as water and mud into the engine bay which seems to be worth avoiding in most situations.

Re: AEV Readies New Wrangler Add-ons
AEV came out with these hoods originally for the 5.7 Hemi Wrangler conversion to alleviate heat in the engine compartment, and the style caught on. Does this mean we will see a 5.7 in the JK? I don't know. Honestly, I dont think the screens have large enough holes to let any mud in other than dirty water - but that happens anyway either through the grill or from underneath.

Oh that makes some sense then.

But man I don't think I could get my brain around $750 for a mostly just bling hood even if was swimming in money.
