![]() This makes sense for only one reason. GM is about to be passed for the first time in at least 6 decades by Toyota as the global number one auto manufacturer. While they claim publicly that its no big deal you know darn well that no one at GM wants that to happen on their watch. The product overlap as mentioned would be massive and with GM struggling to develope their own brands taking on three more makes little sense. Jeep and the minivans would be the big prizes, other than that it makes little sense. Of the possible partners this would be the least painfull IMO.

![]() I don't believe this rumour for a second, but it warms my heart somewhat to think of Jeep being reunited with its illegitimate military brat, the Hummer. Maybe Jeep could slap Hummer around a bit and perhaps both brands could go back to their roots and do what they originally did best. Lets not forget where the H1 got that 7 slot grill to begin with!

![]() I find it hard to believe....
For one, GM would have a dealership on every corner.... and secondly, the overlap in product would be massive... It just doesn't seem logical for GM. |
