Both Jeepforum.com and jkboard.com are reporting that Chryslers internal web site is now accepting orders for JK unlimiteds. No price info was mentinoed in the various posts.

That's kinda silly, how is a dealer supposed to sell cars without knowing the price? Their allocation is 3 for the initial order. The 3.8L V6 is the only engine, at 14-19mpg in the aerodymic minivan-I don't think there will be ANY improvement for fuel consumption over the 4.0L i-6. Pathetic. BTW - The only color option for hard or soft tops is black at this time.

Also vehicle weight has more effect on fuel economy than aerodynamics. The Pacifica weighs in at 4639lbs. With the manual transmission option the JK should be able to pull in more than the 18 - 25mpg. And the dealers will have the price by the time the vehicle is delivered.

A few media outlets reported the body code as TK early on and everyone else ran with it. I think this was based on the assumption that the WJ became the WK. I believe it was sometime last fall when it was cleared up so that we knew the code was JK.
