Some of our readers pointed us over to a JeepsUnlimited discussion thread where somebody had posted some scanned images of the 2007 Wrangler from mph magazine.
The images are much better than the one we posted yesterday and it includes a 3/4 shot of the rear of the Wrangler as well. The scanned pages of the article also include a full article about the Wrangler and the Rubicon variant. Some stats that the scanned article mentions are the fact that the Rubicon version has 3 skid plates, the frame is twice as stiff as current Wranglers, and that the fenders (like the doors) are removeable.
Stay tuned to JeepNewsNow.com for the official debut of the 2007 Wrangler next week. We'll be providing full coverage of the launch (as well as the launch of the Compass) including all the specs, photos, and reactions to the latest revision of the soul of the Jeep brand.

![]() Wow nice grille not too sure about the bumper though. You're right that you'd have to nix the lights if you dumped the bumper.

![]() I like this a lot more than the photo that was released about a month ago. It was close, but this is much better looking. Kudos to Jeep for keeping the variety in the options. Soft Top, Half doors (Although the power windows would be nice) Rubicon Package. I'd love to see the Electric Lime Green again.
I wonder how long before the alternate engines will sstart showeing up? When will we see an example of a production vehicle? I assume this one is more of a prototype assembly, and not the actual production line. I wonder how long the ramp up takes, and how long they will be making them before they are available in quantity? Any car factory knowledge out there? Can't wait for next week also. Should be loads more info. If the bumper is steel, it looks good enough to keep, at least for a while, but I don't see myself content with just two lights. |

![]() Anyone out there think that with the release of the new 07 wrangler, it will cause the current LWB Unlimited model to become rare? I believe there going to stop production this spring after only a couple years of making it. Even the scrambler was made longer than that.

![]() I posted this response to the new Wrangler in the previous spread but it fits here too so once again:
Re: First Unmasked Photo of New Wrangler? I'd say this is a legitimate magazine spread of photo's of the new rig! It's obvious that when you compare this rig with the Gladiator concept photos that the Wrangler and Gladiator nose and interior are from the same vehicle family! I like it a lot! I would now dare say that the Gladiator is indeed a serious production consideration for DCX. The interior is a tad disappointing to me on first glance as I had hoped for a more CJ inspired center mount speedo type of a layout. But the exterior is stunning in its simplicity...in the same way that the new Land Rover products are stunning in their design which is very minimal and effectively utilizing circles and clean simple lines as a design motif. The new Wrangler family appears to offer better exterior build quality too when I look at the photos I see better fit and better finish than previous models offered. I hope it is very, very capable off road and that the V6 is accompanied by a diesel and V8 option. I'm sure once I see one in person the interior will grow on me a bit, especially if they spice it up with other color combinations such as the one in the Gladiator concept. About the bumper...I like the looks of it style wise and wondered about its make up too. However, I'd bet it is still steel, just more creatively cast. But if it is indeed a composite material keep in mind that there are some seriously strong and break resistant composite materials now days that indeed could be more durable than steel and offer a lot more "bang up" resistance. Way to go DCX! And please do build us a Gladiator (and diesel) variant-I will buy one. Bill |

![]() All i hear is good talk about the new wrangler, but what about the bumpers? The new bumper looks like a hunk of plastic found on many new style SUV's. Does anyone know for sure if the bumpers are plastic or a metal, because I think thats very important in a jeep, keep as much plastic away as possible.
