The Jeep Jamboree USA folks have announced the schedule for the year 2000. A new site for 2000 is the May 12-14, "Presidents Jeep Jamboree" in Harrisonburg, Virginia. The schedule kicks off with the "Sea of Cortez Jeep Jamboree" in San Felipe, Baja, Mexico on February 18-20, includes stops in New Jersey, Kentucky, California (including the legendary Rubicon Trail on August 11-13), Colorado, Michigain, and concluding in Moab, Utah on October 27-29 at the "Moad Jeep Jamboree". The complete scheudule can be found here.

For those of you who aren't aware of what exactly a "Jeep Jamboree" is, here's how the official web site describes it:

It’s a family-oriented four-wheel drive outing that’s probably unlike anything you’ve ever experienced. Jamborees are designed for all levels of expertise—from raw beginners to seasoned veterans—so, it’s fun for everyone. Jamborees are also designed for stock Jeep vehicles just like yours. You won’t need a highly modified vehicle. For two full days (Friday and Saturday), you and your family will venture to places you would never see from the highway.

Registrations for year 2000 Jeep Jamborees will be accepted beginning December 1, 1999, be sure to check out the web site for registration information.
