Re: We Are The Mudds. Miguel we know you're not directly responsible for this advertising campaign. You're assigned to monitor message boards and try to pump things up if people dog the Jeep brand too badly.
What I would hope you do is communicate people's displeasure with the direction the Jeep brand's marketing is going. It really is off the mark and more resembles Ford's attempt to be all things to all people. That just isn't what the Jeep brand is about. With the ever growing complexity of everyday life, there are those (read Jeep brand enthusiasts) who try to keep things simple, functional, practical and fun. That's about it. There's no magic combination of popular culture that can really sway those people. The current marketing is looking for the short term sale. You mean to tell me that the Jeep brand's beginning as a utilitarian military vehicle can realistically and honestly evolve into a street bumping machine? Please. Oh and I forgot one other thing. Jeep brand people like to think for themselves. They don't need a big show to understand the benefits of the products. -TKL |

Re: We Are The Mudds. Thanks TKL. Miguel, Do us a favor. Go back to your cubicle and start penning a new script about how rude and obnoxious some Jeepers(group of registered Jeep Vehicle owners) are towards such media-hyped, sorry a**, new age idea of Jeep Advertising.
That would be more interesting. Eyeliner is on sale at Walgreens. Stock up now, Miguel..Oh, Wait....you must have a large supply of Promotional Jeep-Branded RubiconEyes on your desk now, sorry. ![]() |

Re: We Are The Mudds. When the powers to be at DCX decide to employ a spokesperson/model/gofer/psudoJeeper to actually respond to a Jeeper's inherent sarcasm; and actually go on to spurt more commercialism for the bubbleheads that actually buy Jeep-Branded Lipstick to apply in the same said Jeep Commander on the way to LL Bean's to buy a postcard with a muddy stream and flowers on it to send to cousin Muffy-
I say again....That's the problem with the "newjeep"..yes, NO capital letter on Jeep. 'cus that's all Jeep is today. A name.... I'm sorry about making humor about that columnist's favorite shade of lipstick. I did not scribe such a piece to actually wish to gain a response from "them". As anyone that sees my rants here; I only intend for Jeepers (and Mike) to respond to my ignorance. Not Lipstick Boy. |

Re: We Are The Mudds. Thank you for the response OnlyOneJeep.
All feedback is appreciated and duly noted. If getting in to an adventurous mud adventure with your Jeep is what you're looking for, I would certainly suggest to contact the Camp Jeep phone line between the months of March and July. They have various trail rides to test your off-road aptitude. The courses range from novice levels for beginners to the more challenging high-difficulty courses for experts like yourself. In addition, this year, Jeep hosted several free nationwide Camp Jeep On The Road events that were similar in nature to our major Camp Jeep event, only not as large. Conversely, the We Are The Mudds contest is a fun, family-oriented event that can lead to your winning an all-new 2006 Jeep Commander, without having to buy a thing! The contest is simple, there will 4 downloadable videos involving The Mudds family released approximately every 2 weeks. The first video is already available on the Jeep website. The second video will be available 11/7. Each video will guide you to a "virtual" geocache. You can dig up The Mudds' caches designed with the Google Maps application. The more caches you dig up, the more chances you have to win. Check out the following link that will give you more information regarding Jeep Geocaching. http://jeep.geocaching.com/ Let me know if you have anymore questions, I'll be more than happy to help. Regards... P.S. Thanks for the fashion advice, I'll be sure to change the shade... Miguel M. Re: We Are The Mudds. The Mudds are idiots just like all the kinder-gentler/ feel good huggy families who feel that because they spend $599.95 at Camp Jeep actually think they are Jeepers because they bought a Jeep,a Jeep hat, a Jeep shirt, and take their picture in front of artificial rocks at the entrance to the Jeep Carnival.
Jeep is mud, war, John Wayne and ugly-looking wet dogs. Not a Target display. This is the problem with the "New" Jeep. Real Jeepers don't fall for this charade. They just go muddin'. P.S.>Miguel, that shade of lipstick you're applying right now just totally clashes with the aura of your Liberty, dude. Sorry. |
