Turbonator vs Tornado Info Request Last year, I ordered a TORNADO Performance enhancer from J.C. Whitney for my Jeep. It claimed, when put in air intake hose to Fuel Injectors, it spiraled the air flow providing up to 24% increase in HP and Fuel economy. On this web site, there is an ad for the TURBONATOR for Jeeps that increases HP 20-35% and MPG 31%. The Tornado was a dud, a scam and appears to have the same description as the TURBONATOR. Is this another scam? Has anyone bought one for their Jeep and can document any increase in HP and MPG? Please advise.

Re: Turbonator vs Tornado Info Request It's a scam. All those type of swirlling performance enhancers don't work.
You are better off buying a free flowing K&N filter with a short ram intake for it, if they make it yet. Try this as a starting point, http://tinyurl.com/7qqp8 |

Re: Turbonator vs Tornado Info Request Yes, I agree these products are not quite what they're claimed to be. I sell for a living and my clients are quite taken aback when I HONESTLY tell them NOT to buy these products.
I have seen proof of DAMAGE to Ford Tritons and HEMI Dodge motors. K&N is still the most agreeable Air charger around, but you gotta keep remembering to recharge these systems ($11.Kit) to gain the most out of your investment. KISS (Keep it simple) applies here for sure! |

Re: Turbonator vs Tornado Info Request It won't help. I have friends with tuner cars who tried these and they don't do anything. The goofy one with the fan inside actually restricts airflow which hurts performance and MPG. You need more air, not funky flow.
