Gladiator
What I wanna know is when they're going to start putting Gladiators on the road. I drive a '97 TJ now and it's really hard to lug a 4x8 sheet of plywood home with it. I'd be first in line for a new Gladiator...

Just do what I do.....Borrow your friend's Comanche!

I have 2 friends with 'em; One has a late-model 350 small block conversion and the other a bone stock 2.5.

I BARELY get the chance to borrow the 350 Comanche darnit!

Re: Gladiator
Hi there, I see your question about the Gladiator concept vehicle. I dont know if Jep will actualy make the Gladiator but I do know of a company planning on putting into production a clone of that vehicle. In the states you will soon be able to buy a complete chassis minus the engine, transmission, glass, seatbelts, and brake lines.

If you live outside the states you will be able to buy the complete vehicle with a 6 cylinder land cruiser drive train.

available ooptions include airconditioning, power everything, your personal design of interior including full leather, any color you want, choice of rims, and an extra special option of stainless steel body, with option of that being in brushed stainless or polished stainless.

The same company also makes stainless steel willys jeeps, 4 door wranglers, Stainless steel Hummers, a version of the Hurricane, and a version of the Jeep rescue.

I have a photo gallery of some of the vehicles made in the factory. Some photos are of test vehicles but I assure you the fit and finish will be as good as anything you can get from the factory.

Re: Gladiator
Actualy I have set up the tooling and design of the clone. I was impressed at the versions of the Jeep made in the Philippines known as the "Jeepney". I saw the need for a lower cost alturnitive to the Jeep with features not available from detroit, like a diesel engine in the Wrangler, a Willys with a/c and independant suspension and now the Jeep Gladiator concept. Lets face it. Detroit will study things till they are blue in the face and then hand us a car that is difficult to work on and parts availibility outside the states difficult.

Dont get me wrong, I am an American and I love my Ford and Chevy and various Dodge cars that I have owned. However now I have come to the point that when I want something to my specs I have to special order it or have it modified to my tastes.

Remember when you could go to the dealer and go down a huge checklist of options and get exactly what ou want? I seem to remember that bright red color was a commonly available color instead of impossible to get on a new chevy colorado.

ANyways take a look at the pics. I have a ton of orders to fil in the Middle East before I will start marketing in the states.

However I am planning on opening up a storefront in Utah in 2006 and exibiting some of my vehicles at car shows then.

We have a polished fully stainless steel body HummerClone with a 440 cubic inch rat motor and heavy duty street rod frame on plan as well as a Jeepney Gladiator in a steel body with a modest Diesel engine and Land cruiser drivetrain.

When I hear back from the owner of this site I will be having advertising of my upcoming online store for Jeep parts.

Re: Gladiator
You and me both brother.
I have a 97 TJ with 112000 miles on it.
My wife bought a 4x4 Liberty because she wanted a jeep too.
When they build the Gladiator I will buy one.

They Would Get My Money
I think if they came out with the Gladiator they would have my money as well. I'm a Scrambler guy and while I think the Gladiator is a better ('tougher') name, the vehicle looks more like a Scrambler to me.

In the mean time, here is a place selling conversion kits to make your TJ into a pickup for about $8k.

But the holy grail is the Brute, which from what I've heard 3rd & 4th hand is really the origin of the Gladiator concept. The TJ conversion by these guys, especially if you have them put the 355 hp 5.7 liter Hemi in is awesome.

There definitely seems to be high interest from the masses for the Gladiator. Plus as the new smaller HUMMER comes out in the truck configuration (H3T), you would think DC would want to stop or slow this market erosion.

Gladiator conversion kit. Would you be more interested if you could get a gladiator conversion kit? Gladiator body and havy duty frame. Use your old Jeep for the running gear and interior. One can be yours to your door for less than 8000 from this place

The link go geep.biz does not work, at least not for me, and the link using the IP address goes to a page with a hummer skin coversion (yuck).
