CRD - mileage claims I've heard that some CRD owners are not getting the mileage claimed by Jeep.
If you have a Liberty CRD, could you post your city/highway? |

Re: CRD - mileage claims This liecame from Comsumer Reports. With the wind at 100mph and pulling a trailer weighing 5000 lbs, and a full 5 pasengers I would still get 17 mpg! Most get 22 avrage in town and as high as 28 mpg on a trip.

Re: CRD - mileage claims It has come out the Consumers Reports uses flawed methodolgy for determining the amount of fuel used.
They only measure the fuel that leaves the tank, not what gets returned to the fuel tank. The Common Rail fuel system supplies over 200% of the fuel neccassary at stop/go traffic speeds, the unused fuel gets returned to the fuel tank. When evaluating a magazine you should use - magazine editors. When evaluating a diesel you should use - ? (not magazine editors) |
