Need Engine Compartment fuse box and wiring harness 93 YJ, 2.5L
My fuse box in the engine compartement is starting to be overcome by corrosion and the starter relay or auto off relay don't make a good connection anymore. I've tried cleaning the contacts inside the fusebox a LOT of different ways and the relays are good but the jeep won't start all the time. I can wiggle the relays around and keep trying to start it and eventually it will start. If I short over the contacts for the starter relay I can get it started. Unfortunately, I was told the only way to correct this is to replace the wiring harness and fuse box. Does anyone have a receommendation on a good OEM replacement harness or someplace I can get one? The dealer said they are not manufactured anymore and I would have to go to a salvage yard. I checked the local yards and they don't have it. |

Re: Need Engine Compartment fuse box and wiring harness You could try calling www.jeepsareus.com. They have OEM parts, but only list a 97+ fuse box for the Wrangler. If you contact them, they may be able to get you a line on a new OEM one.
OR, if you're good at wiring, give these guys a call: http://www.painlesswiring.com/ Other than that, a salvage yard IS your best bet, and the cheapest. Good luck. |
