What should I do to my new jeep?
I just purchased a new '06 unlimited black/black soft top and I love it. I did notice the gas mileage at first was horrible but it has gotten better. Now that I have this amazing vehicle i've wanted for so long and i've taken it offroad a few times I am looking into some upgrades. Lift, wheels, wench, new bumpers, side step, lights and maybe a lockbox.

I do in home computer repair for geeksquad and I meet alot of people and do alot of people networking as far as good deals on anything I need. I recently had a customer who informed me that he deals in all shipping and transportation of jeep accessories. He can get me anything I want for a little under cost so I was just looking for some good feedback on goodies before I take advantage of this discount.

a pic of the jeep:

Your Jeep looks great as is. You can put a 2 inch lift kit on it. Unless you plan to buy bigger tires then put the 3 inch lift kit on it with 33 to 35 inch tires. Get a winch for the front, Get ARB Air Lockers for Both Axles <-- this is a must! Good Luck JDJ

Re: What should I do to my new jeep?
If you want to go with 33" tires, and want to off-road, I would go with a 3"-4" lift to allow for travel. I have a 4.5" Rubicon Express on my 05 LJ and love it. If you want to go with 35" tires, you will need 5" or 3-4" with a 1" body lift. 33" tires may fit with no lift if you stick to the street. If you don't have a Rubicon model, you will need to either drop your transfer case or install a slip yoke eliminator and cv drive shaft, so expect to pay more. There are a number of good lift kits, they depend on your budget.

Lockers are a huge help when wheeling and will really get you out of some tight spots. Most of us can get away with either front or rear, but both is nice. I like the Aussie lockers or OX.

A winch will help especially if you don't get lockers.

There is no end to what you can buy, the only limiting factor is budget. "JEEP stands for just empty every pocket."
