THAT NOISE IS DRIVING ME CRAZY!!!!! I have a 2003 wrangler sport, 4 inch lift, 33's, .... when its cold outside I hear a high pitch sound and then after driving for about 10 minutes it goes away. I have taken it to different mechanics and I feel like I am getting ripped off. Aamaco said its the transmission but if it were the trans why would the sound go away after 10 min? The dealership refuses to look at it cause the lift is on, anyone have any ideas? I dont know much about jeeps but it sounds like something needs to get lubed up bad!! And I dont feel like paying a couple of hundred dollars to get that fixed by some know it all who really doesnt know it all. PLEASE ANYONE HELP!!

Re: THAT NOISE IS DRIVING ME CRAZY!!!!! You could have a case of "angry sparrows". Easiest way to check is to pull your front drive shaft out and drive it. If the sound is gone, you need to have your front drive shaft CV joint rebuilt. When mine started doing it, the sound was worse when it was cold and/or raining. If that is your problem, try to get a greasable centering yolk (the factory ones aren't greasable), then just hit it with a grease gun when you do your routine maintenance.
