Re: 4 wheel drive will not stay locked always pops out under load What do you drive?? Most likely issue is the shift rods are out of adjustment. Shift rods are on all Wrangler 1987- current and all Cherokee 1984-2001, all Grand Cherokee 1993-2004. If your beast is earlier, you may need to look into the case and replace detents or a check ball.
