Any time I go on a long trip 1hr+ (Especially in Summer). If I stop the engine for a short period (gas station fillup), when I go to restart it, my CJ rides super rough and stalls out. It eventually comes back to life after stepping on the gas for a while. I'm thinking its a Vapor Lock/Heat Soak issue and wanted to know if there's anything I could do to prevent this from happening like heat shielding my TBI injection system.
Thanks!

Do you have the correct fuel filter and is it oriented properly? That is the first thing I would look at. The filter should have one input and two outputs (one to carb/efi and the other the return line to the tank. The return line should be at 12 o'clock to stop vapor locking of the fuel feed.

That's what I would look at first.

Also a carb spacer out of phenolic will halo a little

Thanks for the feedback. I'll try to take a look at the return line. Just FYI, i have a Howell TBI kit, so the filter and pump runs parallel along the frame.

You should not be seeing any v'lock with FI.
Replace your fuel filter and check the PSI of the pump.
