Cantina for the Con is this weekend at the loon lake spillway staging area.

We wont be around for the tacos, we'll already be on the trail :D

If anyone wants to get to the trail this weekend and meet up - post here and I'll PM you my phone number to plan.

Pictures and video to come - this will be a light camp trip with 2 people per jeep. So no turning back to get back to camp. We're doing the whole trail.

Looks like you guys had good weather and a great time!
Looking forward to seeing more pics, and the story. :chug:

:)

Hey JR..........Looks like whatever day you went through there was hardly a sole on the trail? Was that today or yesterday? Nice Trip!

:D:D:D:D

We got on the trail @ Loon Lake spilway around 8 AM on Saturday. Not much traffic all day, little here and there, but Buck Island was full of people camping.

It was cantina for the con this weekend, so everyone was going to the spillway (where we started) for tacos etc.

We got to the springs Saturday evening, and camped for the night.

Took off around noon from the Springs and set up Cadilac hill where we had a bit of a traffic jam... A newer jeep was getting towed up the hill with only 1 still operational tire / axle. He snapped 3 of his 4 axles on the trail.

They were a good group of guys so we we patient and chilled out... there were probably 20 rigs piled up behind us waiting for them to get up the hill, and a group of 6 Broncos we let come down the hill.

But all was as expected on the trail on a holiday weekend :chug:
