Installed RE 4.5 on my 1980 CJ7. Lower in the rear(by at least an inch to and inch and 1/2). Thinking about making my own shackle brackets that are about an inch longer or possibly shortening the front about the same. Anyone have this problem with this lift. I am light in the front. Only have a 4cly. Different shackle brackets seem to be the easiest fix for this problem. Any suggestions???

Rather than reinvent the wheel with the hangers, could you go with shackles either longer in the rear or shorter in the front to compensate?

Just spitballing...seems like it'd be less trouble

Lift springs do tend to settle some after break-in...something to consider as well

I saw the quick listing for this thread and for some reason my brain said "4.5 Litre Engine Build", gotta check that out!

I hate getting old.

Mine sat higher in the front with my REE kit also, but I have a Matkins level III frame with the shackle reverse that caused it. I bought a set of the REE 2 inch YJ springs to level out my CJ.
