" iconic off-roader" ! It's a Wrangler not a Jeep. When did wranglers win the war or build America?
It looks cool, but it's hardly a Jeep.

It's so light weight that it is still heavier than a stock CJ. And an AMC CJ did not win the war either. The MB Willys won the war if you want to nit pick. The Wrangler is no different in that term.

The CJ is a direct descendent of the MB. They modified the MB for civilian use. The MB also didn't gain that iconic status all on it's own. And the CJ isn't an AMC creation.
