I am gone for 1 year and y'all let this slide to the rear........GEEZ....anyway , here is some of my fly rod catches......the last one i was going to keep if it wasn't for the "grand theft auto" thing!

Here are some from last month. We hooked up on a blue marlin and got a hand on the leader, which qualifies as a catch by some fishing organizations. He was tail wrapped and a hand full. We ended up with one dolphin, 3 wahoo, 4 or 5 yellowfin tuna, 4 or 5 blackfin tuna. Had a buncha fun.

Very cool! Where along the coast are you? We typically head down to the Port Aransas / Rockport area to launch.


I don't fish. I like to throw lures out into the water and then retrieve them.

We picked up the boat just East of Destin, where we spent the night. Jumped into the Gulf from there and fished our way back to Freeport. It was a helluva shake down run for the boat. We will be making some electronic upgrades for sure.

I'll be in San Marcos later today for the Texas Water Safari meeting tomorrow morning. That is the 260 mile kayak run down the Guadalupe in June. There are some videos on YouTube and of course there is a link: .

Yesterday was the best half day of fishing I’ve had in 20+ years!
Over 20 fish caught and most of them were big. Non stop action.

Anyone been fishing yet?

I took the boy out the other day we caught a couple, a nice trout, nothing worth a picture.

Once a month this is what I do and too bad my catch is ain't that big compared before. I even have a big Coleman at my trunk ..bad luck for me
