First off, I'd like to apologize, just realized I tried to add this thread in the wrong forum category. If the moderators would like to sort me out I would appreciate that.

Anyway, my jeep has 6 into 2 headers, going into 2 separate cherry bomb type mufflers, What I am trying to figure out is what is the better option. a 2 into 1 collector and then onto normal muffler and tailpipe? or OEM manifold and exhaust?

I guess after looking into other possibilities would it make sense to just get a 2 into 1 muffler and then carry on with a normal tail pipe?

Mine has the 6 into 2, then 2 into 1 right before the muffler. It raps pretty good and sounds as good as a 6 cylinder can sound I guess. I'd love to hear it with a magnaflow or Borla exhaust. I think I will do that when I replace the existing headers (they were welded from front to back with no disconnects).

I have the headers down to the dual pipes and the muffler installed, tailpipe should have been made today and will be getting it tomorrow, started it without the tailpipe and it actually sounds nice, a touch deep with almost a little growl but not obnoxious or anything. I will see about grabbing a quick sound bite or video clip this weekend.
