Just joined the other day. 1978 CJ5 304. It has a holly carb. Rust here and their. Mainly under the doors. It runs pops and shakes but I will do a tune-up as quick as I can. Floors are rusted all the lights work. The wipers do not. No top at all.
I brought it home the other day and man it was just cool driving it. I have a lot to learn about it but I also have a lot of friends that have jeeps, so that helps. I have a total investment of not quite 600 in it .
It really pumps me up just to know I own a goat.

And in that one short drive you most likely have become a CJer for life! :notworthy:

Until you drive one, many can not and do not get it... Wait until the summer when your driving with the top off and your left foot out the door opening 'foot surfing'... You'll know that you can go just about any where with out even thinking about it...

Welcome to a very exclusive club! :chug:

just turned 50 in june must be a mid-life thing
LOL - 46 this year... And I'm only 26 on the inside! I have owned my CJ since 76 so - no midlife for me but damn glad to have ya here for yours! :D

I get it, I'm a Jeep owner and ad-block detectors kinda stink but ads are needed on this site. This is a CJ site, all the ads are set for autos (some times others get through.) I cannot make them just for Jeeps but I try.

Please allow ads as they help keep this site running by offsetting the costs of software and server fees.
