I am yanking the motor out and doing below. Anyone have some answers to the questions I have below?

1. "Stock" 258 short block bored .030
2. 4.0 clearwater head (what rockers? 4.0 or 258 push rods?)
3. 4.0 intake (what year? what fuel rail? what lb injectors?)
4. 4.0 exhaust header (recommendations?)
5. 4.0 or 258 cam (stock or upgrade?)
5. Salvage yard engine harness (gotta find it yet)
7. Hesco dampner and crank sensor
8. Hesco speed sensor

Any other recommendations? dunno.gif

I posted this on the strokers forum, but no responses yet so I figured I would get the opinions of this forum also.
Thanks in advance!!!!!! cheers.gif

2. 4.2 pushrods and rockers.
4. XJ headers from the mid to late 90's work very well.
5. 258 cam...stock is good, i upgraded to a 262 duration for better low end without sacrificing the topend.

Thanks for the info!

Can I use the 4.2 rockers on the 4.0 head?

Yes, as I stated.
But side by side, I could not tell the difference between the 4.2 and the 4.0 rockers.

I started to go this route but decided on the Howell kit instead. I have all of these parts off of a 1991 Cherokee including the Harness. If you are interested send me a PM.:chug:
