    Misc. Fuel line/fuel tank

1985 CJ7 I'm doing a SBC 350 conversion. I want to use a 3/8" dia. fuel line(INLINE TUBE, inc.) from the 15 gal. metal tank to the engine mechanical fuel pump. Anyone ever done this mod? The factory fuel line and sending unit fuel line is only 5/16" dia.

Engine Anyone running NYLON fuel lines? Fitting questions

Now that I have my new galvanized tank ready to swap in I also need to delete the original steel fuel lines. They don't look horrid but certainly not worth salvaging. Also at some point the return vapor line off the fuel filter was eliminated off my engine and I would like that reinstalled...

    Engine Vacuum line routing '81 CJ7 4.2L

Hello all, I've been searching old threads and trying to find my answer that way, but not finding exactly what I need. I just acquired my '81 AMC CJ-7 yesterday. It has sat for 4 or 5 months, and 6 months prior to being moved then. I want to freshen it up a bit. My main question is...

    Misc. Line-X?

Wondering if it makes any sense to have Line-X sprayed to the underside of the Jeep to prevent rust? Does it protect or does it make any existing rust spread, hidden behind the Line-X. I have a couple of rust spots I plan to sand and prime anyway. Once that is done I may take it to have it...

    Power steer line help

So, at long last my 4.0L XJ motor is in the CJ5 to stay. I have mounted all the accessory brackets i.e. a//c, alternator, and power steering. The power steering gearbox and pump came from a 91 XJ. The problem I am having is finding power steering lines that are long enough and will fit. The...

    AMC 20 Brake Line Fastener

I am getting ready to run and install my new brake lines after my AMC 20 rear end rebuild. I cannot find the bolt that fastens the brake line splitter to the axle tube. Does anyone know the size of this bolt?

Fuel return line & vac line routing 84 CJ7

I recently purchased a 1984 CJ7. 258 Inline 6, 4 speed manual transmission and am trying to sort out some randomly routed or missing plumbing & wiring. Looking for some pictures of a stock correct 84 CJ7 engine compartment to see where everything is supposed to be and for advice on the best...

    engine bay fuel line routing

I'm going through a recently purchased '78 CJ-5 with a 258 and Weber carb. The PO routed the rubber fuel line (from the mechanical fuel pump to the carb.) across the valve cover of the engine. The fuel line literally lays across the valve cover. I assume this is incorrect. Can anyone...

Fuel Tank / Fuel Line Question

Hi all, I recently inherited a 1957 Jeep CJ5 from a fairly distant family member. When he passed away, he had just finished replacing the fuel tank and was in the process of replacing the fuel pump. Today, I bolted the fuel pump onto the engine block and connected the fuel lines. I put a...

    V8 fuel line routing

Can someone post up some pics of how the fuel lines run on a V8 from the tank to the pump? Particularly up near the engine. PO on mine hacked them up. I’m replacing them all but not sure on how they go. I’m pretty sure the V8’s ran outside the frame up front but would like some verification.
