Had another one follow me home tonight.

86 with an amc 304, t4 and dana 300. Not running, came complete with an orange rattle can paint job and snorkel made of PVC :dung:ter pipe. Did have a set of soft doors in the back though so that's a win. Seems complete if not a bit on the rough side. It was going to be a parts unit for my other...

    Free to the right home!!

I am sure that Free got just about every bodies attention. I put Master Craft Nomad seats in My Cj-5 a while back and pretty much love them. But I will talk seats at another time. The problem I have with After market seats it that they are taller and thicker than the originals which puts the...

Easy Torque wrench calibration at home

After having good reason to question the calibration of my "click" style torque wrench I did what every warm blooded American does, I went to youtube. I admit to watching only one video, but it was enough to get the idea. He was using a torque adaptor from Harbor Freight, as a matter of fact...

The issue is what do I have to look forward to in the way of re-tuning my flat lander Florida functioning cj for the return to the Springs. Primarily, should...

    Made it home but ugly

Using my 69 CJ5 as a daily driver- driving along with no issue then blackout - nothing electrical would work. Let it sit for a few minutes then the idiot (amps and oil) lights would show but when I turned the key over everything out again. tried several times until nothing would light. Pushed it...

    Home Town Memories...

This video is close to my alternate home (actually Gary is a big town compared to Elbert where I stayed). Such a simple time then, I want for the simpler times... Do you all have home town memories?

    Backing It Home

Well, the ole CJ embarrassed me today. After weeks of carefully trying to convince my wife that a 70+ old fart and 30+ old jeep should have no real problem navigating the back roads of Big Bend NP. Yeah, we both may have some minor hitches in the giddy up department, but we're still pretty...

    A Scrambler rambled home

I might have a problem. I was watching an '82 Scrambler on ebay, located in Alabama. It didn't sell so I contacted the seller, took a look at it and bought it today- for my dad. He doesn't know yet what I've inflicted on him and he won't see the Jeep until September. It's got a lot of bondo...

Brought home a 1985 CJ7 fuelie bouncer today!

After looking for many months and walking away from MANY CJ7's that were pretty much rust buckets or very Jeepified (crawlers), I found a very clean stock one just a few minutes from my home. It's got the original stripes and paint scheme (Orange), but no Renegade decal. It looks it's age, but...

what to do after getting that CJ home

First things first A lot of guys buy an old CJ and ask me what they should do to if first. I usually tell them to inspect everything. However I thought I would write a list of things that need to be done no matter how great it looks on the outside. Remember you do not know how each...
