    Members CJs Barn (Garage) Find

Just had to share this...to remind everyone these do exist out there in the wild. I found this parked in a garage in SoCal, where it had been sitting for a decade. One owner. Bone Stock. Straight and dry. 54K miles. Had it towed to my mechanic...they dropped and flushed the tank (3 times)...

    Dana 44 Axle Swaps

Dana 44's have been good replacements for AMC 20 rear axles, as well as some front axle numbers. Here find some charts showing donor vehicles and some do's and don't's.

How to find those Monroe Shocks?

Through this past year I've read a few times on here about using the basic Monroe shocks and I like that idea. The problem is, how to find them if the Jeep is lifted? I've looked on the web site (and maybe missed it) and I've talked to my local parts house and can't find any listings for Stock...

Finding a hard to find part.

Been working on my TAC system. It is the system that assists engine warm up. I am having trouble finding the temp sensor part that's locates in the air breather next to the air filter. It allows vacuum to close the flap and take heated air from the heat riser into the snorkel. I have checked...

Keep it and fix it or sell it to find nicer

Keep it and fix it or sell it to find nicer I have been going back and forth for some time. I have an 84 CJ7 that I've had for about 5 years. Has some rust in the rockers and mechanically needs to be rebuilt (tired). Keep it and probably spend more money putting into it or sell it and find...

    Build Thread '78 CJ7 - Barn Find

I'm a new member and recently found a 78 CJ7... I've always been a fan of Jeeps (had a 2007 Jeep 4 door rubicon for about 6 years). i don't know much about working on vehicles, though i own several that seem to always need work and i've added this one to the fleet. it's not in great shape...

Where can i find the best front driver and passenger side floor pans?

So i know that there is a bunch of sites that sell the front floor pans for jeeps but i'm look for some advice for which one may be the best. I own a 1980 CJ7 (base version i "think") and the front floor pans are just rusted because of the Houston Texas humidity (plus rubber floor mats) which...

You took the tub off? What did you find?

It is usually frustrating and sometimes entertaining to see what the previous owners did to our Jeeps. I pulled the tub on my '77 CJ5 and found some amusing things. The capped line that is supposed to go to the vapor canister. Capped right underneath the driver seat. 3 missing bolts on the...

Trying to find a full float kit

I'm looking to hunt down a full float kit for my rear AMC 20, anybody have any thoughts on where to track one down? I'll pay a reward to get one at this point. I'm currently one-pieced, and it's OK. but it'd be a lot easier to have locking hubs in the back for flat-tow as well as less things...
