I ordered my Painless kit today for my 81 Cj-5.

Being OCD how long from start to finish did it take you? I have only wired in a winch and lights so no real automotive wiring experience. Local auto electrical place quoted me $100 an hour and would not give me a maximum time. Have to do it myself no matter what.

I'll skip the beer and duct tape!

Would be funny if you had to turn the wipers on before you start the ignition!

Hmm maybe 20 hours or so, spent a lot of time just looking at it to see where I wanted to route wiring in engine bay to keep off engine and bundled together, I bundled everything together and went down the top of driver fender to front of motor across front of motor to starter relay

That got the distributor, choke, oil sending unit, water temp, alternator, ac clutch, starter relay, fuel pump relay, heater blower motor radiator fan relay in that bundle 2nd bundle got the headlights and turn signals
