i've seen and read a lot on a yj tub on cj frame. what have y'all observed as being the way to go, order cj body mounts or yj. i suspect since it's a yj tub i would need to order the yj body mounts with the bolts since i don't have any bolts and i'm suspecting the yj tub has different bolt dimensions? i wonder if it would just make more sense to order the cj body mounts and find out what size bolts i need for the yj or order yj body bolts. i don't have the factory bolts to compare to.

Iím running a YJ tub on a CJ frame..... and I bought new CJ mounts. As for the bolts - I do remember there being two sizes ( threads, not lengths), but I donít remember what the sizes were. I know, useless, right? The steel center ďtubesĒ will need to be cut shorter - Iíd have to dig thru my build thread to find the specs, and Gertís trimmed his way more recent than I - maybe heíll chime in shortly..... There will be 4 mount locations that will need to be moved a bit - two are on the rear crossmember. I had a new CJ crossmember so I moved the holes...... A new YJ crossmember would preclude your having to move those. I think the others are the most rearward before the frame rises over the rear axle. I believe there I slotted the hole on the bottom of the frame...... Again, Iíd have to go back and dig thru my build.

Hope this helps..... if not, just file under useless ramblings LOL

Yeah, I just took mine and matched new ones to what I had. I assume you still have the nut plates you could try bolts in? I think they were 1/2Ē and 7/16Ē....... Maybe

The bushings are just big ol rubber or poly bushings - those bolts will fit fine. Canít speak to the lengths, but the bolt threads sound right. Since the YJ tub is a direct swap for a CJ tub (with the exception of the couple mount locations) you should be good to go with those bolts.
