My throttle pedal is flopping backwards. I'm pretty sure there used to be a spring back there that held it forwards but it's not happening anymore.

Any fix for that? I'm sure mine can't be the first to have broken.

Thanks

First thought would be to check the throttle return spring. I could be wrong but I always go from simple to complex when troubleshooting.

p.s. I have had no end of issues with my throttle return spring to the point where I carry spares for side of the road fixes.

There is a spring on the back similar to that on a mouse trap. Itís broken due to age. Replace your pedal assembly with one from an early model XJ.

Thanks, I just found that spring on Morris4x4 site but I can't get the pedal apart.

I'll check out the XJ model, that's a great tip!
