I have new door trim panels for a 1985 CJ7 with full doors but I can't find the right clips!

They're not listed in the parts manual. The holes in the door measure 5/16" but a 5/16 clip won't push in. I'm thinking 9/32". And the top J head is smaller than what I'm finding. Anyone figured out a correct part number, either OEM or aftermarket?

Dorman makes several universal
Kits that should have something that matches. Or you an try a OEM match kit. Available online and usually larger local auto supplies will have. Not sure on the chain stores. I have a Japanese manufactures kit and an American manufacturers kit for when they explode on me at the shop.

Hagar; Sounds like you found them, but I'm trying to figure out what you're referencing. My catalog has doors in Group-23 and only goes up to 25, then jumps to.....AH HA....I just noticed Group-46 deals with door trim, whereas Group-23 is door parts. No Group-29 anywhere. But I found the old part number: J400 6176. Same part for early Wranglers too. Now I can start cross-referencing.

What catalog are you using Hagar???

Omix-Ada 11840.03 Door Trim Panel Fastener Kit.

Thank you everyone. What did the trick is Hagar getting me to look for trim fasteners in a Group other than door parts. Once I got the old part number the new part reference was just a few interweb clicks away.
