Hello everybody,

My name is Seth. I am currently restoring a '76 CJ5 with my father. I was looking for help with how to run the fuel line to carb and which ports I use. I have a Weber 38DGES. I also have a lot of excess ports on my intake manifold. I was wondering how much of it I need and which ones I can take off and how is the best way to block it off if I can remove it. I can't wait to use this forum for help! Thank you in advance!

Seth

I have never tried the Weber, but after reading CJ forums for many years, A fuel regulator does help, set to 3.5 p.s.i.

Can't help with the engine vacuum and other connections, as I tossed the 258 that was in my 76 CJ5 onto a pile at the scrap iron place....

But I can recommend this if you are doing a tear down resto: Do not throw anything away. 1976-77 was a transition period for the CJ. There are a lot of parts that are unique to that vehicle. Heater and gas tank are a couple.

Take lots and lots of digital pictures. Bag and tag everything. And don't get ahead of yourself. Or let who's helping get ahead of you.

Welcome to the adiction...
