I do remember they offer two volume sizes to select pedal effort , f I am correct, or to match master cylinder, not sure.
No doubt! I was excited when i.pulled the slave from the box, loved the braided tube, then was a little disappointed when I unpackaged the master.

Works good though.

I've never done this mod before, so if anyone has any tips or tricks for the pedal to master connection, that would be great too.
I can take photos of my setup if you like. Mines a CJ W/YJ Tub as well. With a TJ Soft Top!

Let me know what you want photos of.

If you could get a few shots of the pedal connection, that would be great. I've never done this one before.

Thanks

I didn't see the link for the Novak kit yet. Here's the link, and the options were for a 3/4 or 7/8 bore size. This is on my list to do also, but hopefully I'll have a glass CJ tub.

Used the existing pedal assembly. Used the washer to see where the hole would line up. Held it up to the pedal stop arm and centered it on the width of the clutch pedal arm. Turns out it located exactly where it needed to be.

Used a shoulder bolt and cut to length (on the bench with a nut on the bolt so you can fix the cut thread).

Double nut on the backside to lock it worked better than lock washers etc.

Did you put the hole through the pedal arm or was it already there?

I drilled the hole. Based it on the size of the eye on the master cylinder.

Very little "engagement area" but clutch engagement feels solid and wont just fall out of gear. I guess you could say the clutch engaged and disengage in the top 10% of clutch peddle. Fip it around the way is should be according to the diagram and clutch peddle feels good but not sure that the clutch itself really engages correctly. Alignment of the lower rod from the clutch fork to short tab is wonky and while in 1st or 3rd while in gear but not under load from engine "coasting in gear" it will fall out of gear just under the weight of the shift lever. I was thinking about just switching to a hydraulic clutch but knowing someone else has the same problem makes me think that something else is wrong with the linkage.

Forgot to mention that I also had to shorten the adjustable link to the clutch fork by about 5/8".
With the 2 ends screwed all the way in it was still too long to allow the fork any free-play. There is a mile of adjustment in the link so no issue to take some off.

Replacing the whole assembly with a hydraulic clutch would have been a better idea but is it is done now.

Thanks again to all for the help.

Cleg
