Whew tough to read this thread and not get emotional. A lot of what Jr said I understand especially trying to get things fixed and corrected. That said I have a tremendous amount of respect for Cj and this site. I found this site when it was in it's infancy and watched it grow to one of the top Jeep sites and IMHO the best Cj site overall. Then we got hacked. And we didn't even know for the longest time because of how it was done. It was done through password setting from the first time a new user signed up. Any new user was lost after they logged out the first time. I believe this caost the site immensely.

There was alot of frustration for what I felt was too long of a period of time to get it fixed. Honestly I don't feel it's completely repaired even to this day. I have people email me and I just don't have the knowledge on how to remedy their log in issues.

Now I have talked with Cj many times. If I were in his situation I would've dumped this site or sold it somehow a long time ago. Without saying too much about his personal life I'm surprised he still wants to keep it going and is even willing to go through the software change. He still cares and that's important. He's tried to call me a few times throughout this process but I've been working 12 hours a day 12 days on and 2 off so our schedules aren't jiving.

Cj you need the help to keep this site alive. Please take some of the help that's been offered by the IT guys that understand how this stuff works. I know you don't want it to just call by the wayside. Let some people help you.

Now why were baring our souls I've failed the members of this site myself. I asked for some space to make the Survivor section and thinking I'd have the help of a few very knowledgeable people started it. That help didn't materialize and I'm sorry for my failure in that area. God willing I will expand that section with some very useful information late this year.

If it comes down to it let's figure out what has to be done , meaning if you need to sell the site offer it up with information to only people who would be committed to keeping it going. I don't have the knowledge or the cash flow to do it myself but I would help in anyway I could. Maybe an investor group of members? I don't know just throwing it out there. If you still really want the site as more your own let the ads in and maybe they will contribute enough to offset the cost of new software and monthly or quarterly costs.

Lastly I'd like to take a little time to give appreciation to all our members. Please stick with us through this trying time. We'll make it right somehow someway. Too many good people here to let this site just disapear.

JR and 007, well thought out responses. I think that is one the most integral parts of this forum. Besides the vast amount of knowledge; it is for the most part, very cordial, friendly, and members are very rounded and seasoned. Lots of smarts and lots of maturity.

That I believe is a true asset. The greatest leaders and successful individuals know how to persist and grind when others arenít, but they also know when to ask for help and surround themselves with quality people who can help.

Iím not sure where this forum is headed, but I do think it needs attention and action. And I donít have the answers. I feel torn as I made another donation the other day, because I want to support a place that has given me so much, but as I make more financial investment, I want to see an actual return on that investment, better site performance, ads or no ads, additional features for premium members, ensuring its sustainability, etc.

Appreciate the replies to this thread. Sad to see it's not very popular. Maybe it's just too little too late. 😞

Not sure what you mean? The post might not be popular because it's an obvious trigger for some and thus many aren't inclined to comment in order to remain neutral.

I don't think anything is too late on this. It's just a matter of deciding to do it, picking the financial model going forward and getting it done.

You (Petescj) have been an unwavering contributor, moderator, supporter, etc. of this site for longer than I've been here - it's appreciated.

I have faith this will get done...

I agree - Pete has done all he can, As have a few others in the background less publicly. I've seen him try in the back room to get users individual help with stuff and do all he can.

Great dude.

Now for my post, I'd like to say I do not apologize for what I said, however I could have picked a better way to say it, and apologize for the attacking nature of it. I was pissed. I still believe everything I said though. I appreciate the support and alternative ways others posted similar views.

For anyone thinking I have a problem with CJ, as I said I respect the hell out of you bud. You were one of the first ones to welcome me over 10 years ago I believe. The air here was 100 times better than the rude and elitist attitudes on the other forum I had joined, and it was amazing to find your site. I still hold that respect for this site and it's creator.

However, the fact remains that again the posts are going unanswered by the one person that can answer all the questions. That's the underlying problem with everything going on...

Stay safe friends.

Sorry but the test database is very old.

BTW - I have been up since 9:00 last night working on cpanel and whm pemissions for these sites. Jeep-cj.com requires PHP 5.2.7 and the new one (xenoro) requires 5.6.0 or above (installed) is 7.2

Since they work of the same domain I had to manipulate them via MultiPHP Manage and the MulitiPHP editor

I'm bushed
