So I've read a ton about inspecting my stock rear Diff, I've read about the functions of the spider gears and pinions, I've learned all about draining and resealing the differential and cover. . .

But nowhere can I find how people fill the G:censored: D:censored: Differential!!!

I mean, don't get me wrong, I was laughing at myself while I was completely covered in gear oil in my first attempt at filling with a small tube between my gear oil and diff hole!!

There has to be some 'easier' way that doesn't take 45 minutes and also doesn't immerse me in oil.

Any ideas, tips, hints, tricks? Same question goes for filling my transmission.

The easiest way I've found is to use a gear oil suction gun. Looks kind of like a grease gun, with a hose on the end instead of the grease fitting. The gun will siphon the gear oil out of the container, then pump it into the diff. Should be able to find one at an auto parts store.

Good Luck :chug:

most auto parts stores have a pump that fits in a gallon size gear lube bottle or a quart bottle that has a tube long enough to reach the diferential with the bottle setting on the ground. about $5 as I recall.
Put the hose in the hole and pump until lube starts to drip out of the hole.
It's kind of like the ketchup dispencer at the burger king.:D

there has got to be some smart remark that this is walking right into.

I just hold the bottle up and squeeze... :)
