I just purchased my first Jeep project (loose term) and was told it is a 1967 CJ5. The vin tag only has serial number 8305 235691
Kaiser Jeep Corporation Toledo, Ohio. Can anyone help me out with what I may have?

83 stands for CJ5..05 is open body..the rest is the serial number..yours was built likely in june or july (probably june)of 1967

here is a list I had of starting serial numbers by month and year..as you can see the last date I had was june 1967 so your jeep may have been built in june or july...
