What wire would you guys recommend for sheet metal welding? Floor pans?

Thank you sir. What gas mix do you keep in your shop?

Thank you again. You just settled all my questions Oldcj7. :chug:

Thanks mag, that is the gas mix I am going with. I think I may have several wire diameters on hand for different apps.

the more tedious the work, and thinner the metal, the smaller wire you need, along with lower voltage and wire speed. generally i keep .25 and .30 on hand and 75/25 like everybody else. although if your careful and need to in a pinch it can be done with .25 flux core wire, just keep a wire brush on hand so you can clean the slag off, and see what you are welding.

I say .022 because you can always weld thicker but with .030 it's hard to weld body sheetmetal since it's .032 thick.
