I've been out of the 4x4 Jeep since the 1990s
I had a CJ 6 that I enjoyed alot but had to sale due to money issues.
So I started looking and found a nice looking CJ 5 that was a project Jeep. The guy that had it said he had it 8 years and had it running a couple of times but could only get it to run by spraying carb cleaner down the carb while I was there. Once I got it towed home and charged the battery I was able to rig up a gas can to the carb and start and run the engine. I then move the gas can to the feed the fuel pump and the engine started and ran. After that I replace all the fuel lines from the frame to the carburetor and put 4 gallons of fuel in the tank and restarted the engine. The engine would run for a little while then act like it was running out of gas and die.
I have a couple of questions o hope you guy can help me with.
How difficult is it to replace the fuel line from the tank to the engine compartment? The hard line seems small 5/16". Is there an upgrade I should do while replacing the fuel line? Also is there a return line? I don't see one.
Thanks
