Scrambler Coming Soon? New Liberty Competition.
One of our readers recently sent us an link to a review of the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. While the review is normal fare, the last paragraph of the article hints at the possiblity of a new Scrambler... Jeep will designate its newest arrival a 2004½ model, with an expected availability in March of this year. Will a Scrambler pickup be offered off of the same stretched platform? If George Murphy, Jeep's senior vice president of global marketing is to be believed, it's on its way in July. What's next, a fully enclosed 4-door Dakar? We can only hope. Hyundai Introducing Competition for Jeep Liberty From The Toledo Blade: Hyundai Motor Co. introduced its first small sport utility vehicle yesterday during media week at the Chicago Auto Show. The Tucson, which is smaller than the South Korean automaker's other SUV, the Santa Fe, competes in the same sector as the Toledo-built Jeep Liberty.
