JeepNewsNow Readers Split Over Government Bailout

| We just closed the most recent poll about whether or not our readers supported the government bailout of Chrysler and G.M. The results were almost evenly split. 52% of you said you didn't support the bailout while 48% were in favor of it.
What does it all mean? I'm not sure that we can say that the vote was right down party lines because I know both rabid republicans and democrats who had different views about the bailout. I think it is more random than that - there's a group of people who are tired of large companies getting government handouts and want to see it end. On the other hand, there's a group of people who LOVE the American auto industry and don't want to see it wither away.
