AllThingsJeep.com is heralding the beginning of spring by announcing "Go Topless Day" for May 3, 2008. From their press release:
All Things Jeep of Shirley, MA celebrates Spring with GO TOPLESS DAY on Saturday, May 3rd. Taking the top off your Jeep and going for a ride is a rite of Spring celebrated by Jeep owners everywhere, especially here in New England. The Go Topless Day celebration kicks off with a GO TOPLESS Meet & Greet at Oak Ridge Farm Stand in Lancaster, MA from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm. All topless Jeeps will receive free prizes and giveaways. Food, drink, and delicious homemade ice cream will be available for sale at the farm stand. There will be music, games and entertainment for the whole family. Local Jeep and Off-Road clubs are attending and setting up booths. All Jeeps are welcome.

“Everyone has spring traditions,” said Jean Wnuk, co-owner of All Things Jeep. “whether it’s spring cleaning or planting the first flowers of the season. There are a lot of Jeep owners out there. And in our world, the best rite of spring is the day we remove the hard or soft top from the Jeep. It’s truly a milestone day, especially here in New England. We decided to choose a day and celebrate that tradition. So pack up the family and join us in Lancaster on May 3rd, rain or shine.”

If you can’t make it to Lancaster on Go Topless Day, you can still participate. All Things Jeep is holding an online contest and the best photos taken on May 3rd will win prizes. Everyone who submits a photo to us of him or herself in a topless Jeep will win a Go Topless Day commemorative decal. The best 5 photo entries will win $50 Gift Certificates to allthingsjeep.com .
