Jeep sales slide, but Liberty sets July sales record
Jeep sales fell 6 percent in July, but both the Liberty and Wrangler showed sales growth. Hmmmm, I wonder what's to blame??? Here's a snippet:

The company is now preparing to launch the all-new Grand Cherokee, scheduled to arrive in showrooms this fall. Jeep brand posted a sales decline to 38,173 units, a decline of 6 percent (3 percent decline unadjusted) over July 2003 sales of 39,241 units. Jeep Liberty set a sales record for July with 17,168 units sold, an improvement of 19 percent (24 unadjusted) compared to July 2003. The icon of the Jeep(R) brand, Jeep Wrangler, posted sales of 7,323 units, an increase of 3 percent (7 percent unadjusted) compared to July 2003 sales of 6,840 units. Grand Cherokee sales declined 29 percent (26 percent decline unadjusted) as the company makes room for the all-new Grand Cherokee.
