Since its introduction in 2002, the Jeep® Liberty continues to be a leader in the mid-size sport-utility vehicle (SUV) segment with total U.S. sales of 166,883 in the 2005 calendar year. For 2007, the Jeep Liberty offers the Sport and Limited models in 4x2 and 4x4 configurations.
“The Jeep Liberty stands apart from less capable competitors by combining the best on-road refinement with Jeep’s legendary off-road capability,” said George Murphy, Senior Vice President – Global Marketing, Chrysler Group. “The 2007 Jeep Liberty gives enthusiasts a sense of personal freedom and capability.”
Safety is paramount at the Chrysler Group, and the 2007 Jeep Liberty is no exception. Providing a secure driving experience translates into real-world content and features, such as standard Electronic Stability Program, advanced multi-stage driver and front-passenger air bags and optional side-curtain air bag with roll-detection system. The Jeep Liberty received the government’s highest rating for side-impact crash protection from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

DESIGN
Trevor Creed, Senior Vice President – Design, Chrysler Group: “Jeep Liberty is immediately recognizable as a Jeep 4x4 with its large, round headlamps, signature seven-slot grille and the vehicle’s upright stance. Jeep Liberty’s wide wheel flares, roof rack side rails and externally mounted spare tire give the vehicle an adventurous, ready-for-any-challenge appearance.”
Refreshed in 2005, the Jeep Liberty possesses a classic Jeep appearance with its seven-slot grille, clamshell hood and round headlamps. The Jeep Liberty is available in either Sport or Limited models.
The Jeep Liberty Sport features a body-color grille with provisions for optional fog lamps. The fog lamp and park-turn lamps are positioned to protect them from road debris. The mold-in-color front fascia’s twin-tube appearance creates a custom accessory look with a crisp, horizontal shape, giving the Liberty Sport a wide, stable appearance. The Sport also features a sill cover to protect the bodyside from road blast.
The Jeep Liberty Limited features more refined characteristics such as a chrome grille, chrome bodyside molding — with “Liberty” prominently molded in — and chrome roof rack side rails. The vehicle is accented by painted body-color front and rear fascias and fender flares. Fog lamps are standard on the Jeep Liberty Limited, and tow hooks are available as part of the Skid Plate Group. The Jeep Liberty Limited model also features a sill cover to protect the bodysides from road blast.
The Liberty Renegade is no longer available.
