AutoWeek published this photo of the all-new 2001 Jeep Cherokee in their October 4, 1999 issue: Photo copyright of AutoWeek We've published other spy reports regarding the 2001 KJ saying that it will be smaller than the existing Cherokee - from the photo, we're not entirely sure if this is going to be true. Although the masking hides many of the details of the body, to our untrained eye, it appears that the rear doors are a bit wider than the existing Cherokee, and the overall appearance is a little bit more rounded. Another previous spy report said that the new KJ bears a stronger resemblance to a Japanese SUV - namely the Isuzu Rodeo - as well as being 800lbs heavier.
