For the 2nd year in a row, Jeep is once again teaming up with Geocaching.com to hide "Jeep Travel Bugs" in geocaches all over the lower 48 states.

What's Geocaching? It's an entertaining outdoor adventure where you use your GPS to search for hidden containers, called geocaches, that are hidden around the world by other participants in the activity.

What's a "Jeep Travel Bug"? This year, it’s a green die-cast Jeep Rescue Concept vehicle (see photo) with an official metal tag attached. We’re enlisting geocachers nationwide to hide approximately 5,500 Jeep Travel Bugs in caches located in the lower 48 states. Find one and the adventure begins!

Once you either place or find one of the travel bugs, you log your find on the geocaching.com web site, and they you can track it's journey from geocache to geocache. In addition, there is an opportunity to win a 2007 Compass just for particpating!
