2001 Cherokee???

A reader informed us of this image of the 2001 Cherokee posted on Automedia Online. Here at MTFJN, we are of the opinion that this "photograph" doesn't look much like a "photograph" at all (check out the cartoon-like tires) - it could be a rendered image or something else...

According the the Audomedia Online website:

The Jeep Cherokee will be completely re-designed just after year 2000. The boxy car needs a new look in order to be able to compete against Land Rover Freelander and other modern 4x4 SUVs. Although exterior will be radically different from today's car, the chassis and engines will remain: The 2.5-litre four-cylinder straight will be the basic engine, again developing about 120 HP.
