With the new 2002 Jeep model year, comes and new variant of the popular Jeep Grand Cherokee, dubbed the "Overland". Like the Grand Cherokee Laredo, the Overland is a stock Grand Cherokee that has its own set of options not available on any of the other Grand Cherokee models. Perhaps the biggest difference that the Overland brings to the table is a 4.7 liter, high-output, V-8 engine that delivers 270 horsepower and 330 ft-lbs of torque. This is quite a bit higher than the 235 horsepower and 295 ft-lbs of torque provided by the current 4.7L engine. According to a specification sheets from DaimlerChrysler, here's a list of some of the equipment that will be found on the Overland: - Side window and supplemental airbags

- 3.73 axle ratio (compared with 3.55 for non-Overland GC)
- 10-disc remote CD changer
- Hydralic engine cooling
- Power 10-way , 2-tone, heated leather seats with memory functions
- Full-size spare tire

- Tow hooks
- Rain-sensitive windshield wipers
- Wood trim
- Wood and leather wrapped steering wheel
