We've heard from several readers about model year 2000 Jeeps being available at various dealerships around the country. First up, some Cherokees and Grand Cherokees sighted in Missouri: We have had the 2000 Cherokees and the 2000 Grand Cherokees on the lot since last Monday. This is at Jack Miller Jeep in North Kansas City, Mo. Next up is a sighting from Ohio: ...the 2000 models have been on dealer lots here in Cincinnati for almost 2 weeks so far. No real changes - different style wood trim on the interior, mono-color treatment on the dash plastic. Here's one from the Washington, D.C. area: I had my '97 jeep wrangler in for routine service at Tyson's Jeep outside Washington, D.C. and they had several '00 Cherokees. The only visible difference is on the liftgate the 4.0l decal has been replaced with a 4.0 badge--it is a nice touch. All other info appears the same the salesman said they also had the new 4.0l engine(essentially the '99 grand cherokee engine(4.0l)) Finally, we're not sure where this reader lives, but he's seen the new models as well: Hi, I just thought I would let you know that I saw four 2000 Jeep Wranglers today, two sport models and two SE models and also six 2000 Jeep Cherokees, five sports and one base model....The new silver color is really pretty on the Wrangler with the Canyon rims. If you've seen or driven a 2000 model Jeep, please let us know! We're especially interested in getting our hands on an "official" list of changes between the 1999 and 2000 models.
