The Harbor Freight 3/4 Ton Folding Hydraulic Wheel Dolly is a well made product for its price but it does have limitations.

I was tired of moving my CJ around with a floor jack while it awaits its
transmission transplant so I decided to do something about it. After looking at many vehicle dollies I settled on the Harbor Freight 3/4 ton dolly. I needed something that was fairly inexpensive but would handle the weight of my CJ.
Assembly: The dolly comes partially assembled, and final assembly took all of five minutes per dolly (there are two in each box). There are five pieces to assemble - two castors, two roller assemblies and the main hydrawlic body. Only one wrench size is neaded and maybe a good pair of large pliers. The seperate castors had to be held with the pliers or they just spun in the locating notch in the dolly due to the lock nut supplied with the kit.
Operation: The dolly easily spreads apart and has a locking pin to keep the assembly in a closed position after you raise your tire off of the ground. This allows you to remove all hydraulic pressure from the jacking ram. The dolly rolls easily but can become stuck on debri. A relatively clean floor is a must. A little sand and grit was no problem for the castors to roll right over though.
NOTE: My CJ has 33x12.5's on it and the dollies do
NOT open wide enough for an easy installation. I had to turn the dolly side ways and wedge it under the tire. The roller barely covers the width of the tire. If you have a tire bigger then 33's you will be able to use the dolly but you will have to use a jack to place the wheel - negating the use of the rollers. If you
ONLY need dollies for a large tire, save yourself some money and buy the cheaper type, you can't use the roller anyway.
