I personally have never owned a set. But, from the guys that I have known to have a set, I've been told that they absolutely howl of pavement and are not very good in mud or snow the odd pattern of the voids fill quickly and don't clean themselves out very well.
Again, not first hand knowledge.

Nope, never owned a set of Mastercrafts either. There are three of four guys at work that run them, two of them with TJ's and no one has anything bad to say about them.

I own a set, they came with the jeep from PO. I guess the PO couldn't seem to get anything right, after reading feedback on them from you all. I wish I could give you some feedback on them myself, but haven't gotten the opportunity to test them out in the mud yet. They are loud on pavement though.

In just loose dirt type mud they do ok, but if it's sticky like clay, they clog up easy.
They are a good dry dirt, trail type tire from what I've seen.
