This is what the PO mounted on the Jeep. I think it's a Weber of some variety. Is this even right for a '86?

Assuming this carb is OK, what is the shady-tree, idiot-proof, feed-it-to-me-like-strained-carrots method to adjust it so its running right??

That's not a Weber that's the stock piece of Junk they come with.

thats a carter bbd yes it is the correct carb for the jeep, yes its a pos, not much you can do if its already running badly, you can do the nutter bypass and make it run better in all sorts of ways. just google nutter bypass, if its something your interested in doing we can help you with it, if you live somewhere they do emission testing then don't even bother trying the nutter bypass
